Guest Blogging Guidelines
On occasion we do accept guest posts for publication in our blog. If you are interested in submitting an entry to Brandsplat, here are some basic guidelines to follow:
CONTENT:
Anything that is useful for our readers is good content for a guest post. It can be related to blogging, writing, brand engagement and Internet marketing in general, and it can also be derived from personal experiences. There is no minimum length for your post, but we usually like our posts to have at least 400 words.
ADDITIONAL BENEFITS:
New blog entries are announced on our Twitter account and, occasionally, our newsletter and other social media.
REQUIREMENTS:
1.) Posts must be original and must have never before been published on the internet. (If we find the content is duplicative, we will delete it.)
2.) The writer/owner of the content must agree not to publish the post anywhere else (including the writer/owner’s blog or as a guest post in other blogs.)
3.) One backlink may be included in the byline. This will normally be displayed at the bottom of the post.
4.) Do not use SEO’d anchor text for the byline link. Use only an author’s name and a company name as a link.
5.) All accepted submissions must pay a posting and copy editing fee. We reserve the right to make corrections and necessary changes in the content.
SUBMISSION:
If a guest post meets the guidelines above, send it to: hello [at] brandsplat [dot] com. Please include the post in the body of the email or as a .doc attachment. Usually, submissions will receive a reply within 48 hours stating whether or not they have been accepted.
